Student Admissions Overview
Calthorpe Park School is over-subscribed; we are ‘full’ in most year groups. As a Hampshire school we use the agreed Hampshire County Council’s Admissions Criteria during the process of considering when we should offer places to new students. Depending upon the age of the child who would like to gain a place at our school, please refer to the relevant section here on our website for further information and guidance.
Applications for a place at school at times other than during the normal start time in September for Year 7 children, as they transfer from Junior School to Secondary School are called “In-Year Admissions”. For information relating to how these applications are processed and the way we support children who join us mid-year, please see the In-Year admissions page.
Year 6 to 7 Transfer from Junior School:
To support parents in their application for a place at Calthorpe Park School for their child who is currently at Junior School, please see the page Student Year 6 to 7 Transfer for further information and guidance.
Many parents are interested in where the line for our Catchment Area is drawn. Please see the basic map below. The shaded area indicates the area where families are considered to be “in catchment”.
